Maurepas and Des Allemandes are still pretty good. If the floods hit the MS this spring, like they normally do, I'll take him to do some great trot lining! The last time we ran, we would be baiting hooks and could feel the fish already hitting the baits behind us! Two friends and I took over 300 lbs of fish in 2 days!

Not sure about east la but if y'all decide to do west la Toledo bend is great for trot lining. We go a couple times a year and do really well. Live bream is the best bait.

Yeah, I've run a trotline in Toledo Bend before. Can't beat live bream. I was thinking that the different food chains in Maurepas and Des Allemandes probably changed the bait preferences.

Small shad that you can easily catch with a cast net. They catch a good bit of fish!
