Default Chef Pass

Thinking about launching there at Chef Harbor or driving a little futher to lake Catherine Marina but have never been there much fished in that area. I'm trying to learn more about that side of lake P, lake St. Catherine and the Rigolets.

Any tips or places to avoid going? I'm looking for trout and red but I believe the trout leave those areas during the summer?

Lake p has some fine trout and I know several places that are popular but the bite is finicky around lake p. I finally gave up on trying to learn it. It's worth it to me to drive an extra 30-45 minutes and go to Delacroix

Train bridge is a good summer spot.. Hot water canal is more fall and winter. Causeway in spring and fall. Trestles is good late spring early summer. Trout bite is kinda finicky on the bridges. People that bass fish generally do good because it is such a light bite.

Yeah I kinda new this wasn't the place for p train fishermen but figured some one may have some intel on the area.

Well I'm gonna head out there tomorrow for ****s and giggles. Have no idea as to how I'm gonna fish it. Plan on launching at lake Catherine marina near the fort and just run the banks of lake Catherine for reds and may take a trip around to lake borgne to see if I can find a few shell pads out there.
