Cheers Tough Day On The Du 3-26-13

I had my good customer David Thibodaux back on-board with his customers Brian Deshotel, and Johnny Foret. David and I have never had a bad trip yet, as we have limited out every time he has fished with me. That all changed Tuesday as it was brutal on the Du. We left out of The Reel Inn after day break and found clean water at our first stop. We started slinging in some nice specks right away thinking it was going to be on!!! Well the bite faded quickly. Moving on water conditions deteriorated quickly but we still found a few more specks to hit the box. We moved back to the clean water but the bite was dead. What do you do when it gets bad? Pull out the bait shrimp!! LOL We pulled up to the ole trusty hole and it was on!!!! The Bay Snapper and a couple reds were eating up the shrimp. We could have loaded the boat up. After the guys had enough we headed down to the bull red hole and dropped some cracked crab. Within minutes we had a line screaming. Despite the horrible conditions we made a good day out of a bad day. Thanks guys and I look forward to our April trip.
