Default Broke reed

Sucked a reed into my middle cylinder on my 40 merc last Saturday. Thanks to Jake Ziegler I'm loading up now and about to go break in the rebuild. Fast turnaround and reasonable pricing. I've seen a lot of his work in the past and he does some excellent work.uploadfromtaptalk1364482539893.jpg

Stock mercury reeds. Chris Carson reeds are a fiber. If a pedal breaks off, the motor will just chew it up and spit it out. Replace reeds and you're back on the water. Jake recommended them.

Had that happen to me before....now every 2 stroke I own has carbon fiber reeds. They do help performance as well, nothing major but a improvement.

He checked/inspected all the bearings. Didn't even scar the cylinder. I was very lucky.
