Default 3-26 school night trip

We hustled through 4 pages of math homework and headed out. We fished the ship channel and the north end of sabine. It's cool to see my 10 year old casting accurately, tying her own knots, and dehooking and measuring her own fish. She sight casted to the biggest trout of the day. All fish were caught on chartreuse gulp swimming mullets. Had a blast and was just 30 minutes late for bedtime. Mom gave us a pass when she saw the haul we made.

Awesome. I know I have a few years until my son is old enough but I can't wait to share this kind of stuff with him.

This summer I'm gonna teach her the finer points of fileting a fish. Then I'll have it made!

Awesome! One of the reasons we prefer homeschooling is that it allows us to take full advantage of the seasonal recreational opportunities. Homeschooling also provides freedom from all of the political indoctrinations that are part of public school education. (Hunting = Bad; Fishing = Bad; Guns = Bad; Oil = Bad; Sex = good; Government = good; etc.)

Finally, homeschooling allows us to work fishing into a lot of the math and science curriculum. My son took 1st place yesterday at the Louisiana State science fair with a fish-based project.

Hey Mr. Crab. Make a thread about this on the Louisiana sportsman website and maybe your daughter will get put in the magazine. My son gets stoked when his picture gets put in the magazine. Cool thread and keep up the good work.
