Her smile says it all!
![]() ![]() ![]() Shawn, Jun, Conner, and Angelina Scott joined me today. We left out of the Reel Inn Lodge right before daybreak. Stained water at our first stop but still managed a few trout. The bite was slow so me made a few moves with no luck. Back to our starting point pecking away at the fish slowly. We decided to run and found birds diving everywhere we looked. Unfortunately all the fish were small so we left. Pulling up to a reef it was fish on the first few cast then nothing. That was pretty much the story of the day.....pull up catch 3-4 fish then nothing. We kept moving and moving with clean water but not much luck. We found several schools of fish getting bites almost every cast but all the fish were undersized. Watching the smile on 9yr old Angelina's face as she reeled in the trout made my day. Most of our fish were caught tight lining the Green Hornet Matrix Shad. My crew were worn out by lunch time and decided to call it a day. We talked to many boats and no one had caught over 20 fish. Considering how everyone we spoke to did, we ended up with a very nice catch. A great time was had and the company was exceptional. Thanks guys as I really enjoyed our day together. Big thanks to Capt Rodney 'Trouthog' Bourque for running the second boat with Jack Whitehead and crew. The guys had a blast. Capt. Marty LaCoste 985-856-4477 www.absolutefishingcharters.com |
