There have been some spots people have showed me but I have found some really good spots myself. Not saying I'm the only person to ever fish those spots. But looking at the layout out of the land, currents, and experience fishing those areas is what led me to believ they held fish...and they did.

A potlicker by my definition is some one who just comes rolling up in a spot just because you are there. It is obvious they have no clue why or how you are fishing there. Prime example is the guy on friday who came in on his big motor 100 yds in front of our drift put the powerpole down as soon as he started hitting oysters with his prop and started fishing. We were drifting a bank in around 1.2ft of water. Never used his hood ornament aka trolling motor once.

I like your definition Bob. Seems there are very few secret spots out there anymore that you can consider your own spot! Someone is gonna see you out there and curiosity will bring wandering fishermen to you. Now a days with GPS you can forget off bank spots being unknown. Bring back the days of no gps!
