Default Engel Coolers...

Has anyone ever used them? I've been looking at them and, they look to be of good quality but, I don't know much more about them. Read some reviews and, they were mixed so, what's your take?

Default You Tube

As stated earlier someone posted a study but I cannot find it. That same study is on youtube. I recently purchased a BRUTE, it is better than old time coolers, but not as good as K2 or Yeti. However, the Brute weighs a lot less than the others, so it works for my applications. Also note that sometime back, YETI was bought buy a foreign group, and the lifetime waraanty is now a "limited lifetime warranty for 5 years". There is a really good thread on tht about the issue you raised and directs you toward many different but independant studies.

I have both yeti and k2. The yeti is much better quality but the k2 is a very good cooler also. I bought mine simply for quality. I don't care if they hold ice for 3 days or 3 years, ice is cheap!! I checked out a engel the other day also and to me it was right there with k2, so I would go with k2 over engel to support a local company.

Not sure, I know K2 is local and that's where my money will go.

You need to check out the K2 Summit series, upgraded latches and lid system.
Holds ice like a champ and doesn't kill you trying to tote it around.
