Default Tough couple of days on the water

Yesterday fished Moss, Turners, and a couple reefs mid lake and worked our tails off for 14 fish. Caught most of them mid lake, so ran straight to that reef this morn thinking we should burn them up. Had a good tide to work with and winds were not too bad, but only managed 8 trout fishing from 8-12. Definitely should have been out there earlier but late night BBQ and whiskey got the better of me. With these warmer temps, good tide range, and overall good forcast I thought we would have done much better. From the way everyone was running and gunning on the lake and lack of reports I am thinking most people had a tough go of it. Anyone do well last couple days care to share some insight?? Sorry no pics, phone overheated yesterday, and today wasnt much to take pics of....

I think the tough fishing is due to the millions of glass minnows covering the lake, went yesterday and it looked like glitter and trout busting, wouldnt take corkys, mirrors, jigs, or tops....managed some but was tough tough.

Yeah, noticed all the minnows, but none of the trout we caught were throwing up the minnows when they hit the deck. Kinda figured it was small fish tearing into them.

Roger! I didn't check the stomachs when cleaning the fish. Might have to try ripping a small flashy hard bait through those schools next time. Something like the smaller mirrodines or a small rattle trap.

Yea we went Monday and fished turners all in between to the south end of the lake. Kept 15 of them and threw back over halve of them we caught. It was pretty tough.

Fished this evening and fished 2 hours without a bit then picked up 5 flounder between 6-6:30. Then had to head in. Had no tide until I started catching.
