Default Grand Chenier fishing

Anyone fished the Mermentau lately? Thinking about making a trip next week... Either there, rollover, or Rock...

Haven't heard any reports from there myself. Seems with the rain it might be a little too fresh but I am no expert. Curious to see if anyone else has any reports.

We used to stomp the reds on the mermentau river but it seems like the past 2 years haven't been good at all.

The river has been hit and miss, fresh water won't help. 3rd hand info on the hit and miss.

Could be the greater amount of freshwater going through there. Not certain that is the reason, but definitely something that is different than in years past. Or, could have something to do with pesticides carried in the water from all the farming in the Mermentau basin.
