Actually never caught a big trout on south bank in the SUMMER but have at it. South part of actual lake is where they catching big ones now. Good luck!

If you wanna fish west cove paddle straight east out of west cove launch canal into west cove as far as you can and you will see boats and prob a few yaks. That's cross reef. Its a huge reef. Good area this time of year. Topwaters early, plastics, live shrimp on a cork.
