Default TPE Shrimp

These look pretty cool. I like the hook, reminds me of a bass fishing setup for a swimbait.

That's not vudu. Look at the dorsal fin on the tail. Vudu doesn't have that. Def copycat. I'd seek legal action if egret has a patent

There is usually a slight difference in knock-offs, I do see the Kevlar looking stuff in the tail. That little fin would most likely be part of the mold. I agree about doing something about that

Fishing bait patents: cost a lot to get. much, much, much more to defend.

Lure developer: I want to patent this fishin' bait!

Patent attorney: Sure! Just pay at the cashier!

It's hard to stick a trout with a heavy swim bait hook like that. It can be done but you will miss a bunch.

You'll miss trout with those hooks being so close to the bait.

Patents are very tricky. Don't think it can be done on the shape of a shrimp. Vudu is the first of it's kind in USA. Egret owns the exclusive distribution in the U.S, not worldwide. It's made offshore and I wish we could build it in the states. 90% of what Stanley / Egret builds is in the states.

All Wedgetails, Bayou Chubs, jig heads, bayou spins... All made in USA. The Vudu Shrimp is just way to difficult to do here. Hand pour, paint, eyes, and the nylon thread in the body would be a really expensive bait made in USA. Most likely double the retail price.

I wish we could build it here. Just not realistic at this point.

Ken
