Question Frontier vs. Nautic Star

I looked at a 1810 Nautic Star with a 90 Yamaha and a Frontier 180 with a 115 Suzuki. Can't decide between the two. Any advice, opinions?

I have the nautic star with the 115 2 stroke and I like it. I cruze at 38 which is cool with me. Not sure what the 90 would do. I got mine in 08 and it's just the 18'. Think they came out with the 1810 the next year and it is nicer.

I just bought a Frontier from Kyle at Lake Area Marine. It is a 21 but I am very pleased with the boat and even more pleased with the service I have gotten from them. They are good people and have no doubt in my mind that if I ever need anything they are there to help!!

I have the 1810 Nautic Star with a 115 yamaha 4 stroke and love it. I've gotten it up to 46 mph with a full tank of gas and by myself. I bought it in Baton Rouge at Aqua Marine and was 100% satisfied. My salesman's name was Chip. He never pressured me on the sale at all and was the chepeast I found in Louisiana by a good bit. Good luck on your decision.

I looked seriously at both boats. I was impressed with the Frontier'shull design but I wanted an all composite boat. (no wood) So I bought the 2110 Nautic Star and am pleased with the boat. With Yamaha 150 4 stroke it runs 49mph.

That must have changed since 2010! I think these are 2 of the most bang for your buck boats.

I just ordered a 2110 SE from Dockside Marine in Bogalusa. I had quotes from 4 other dealers, including Aqua Marine in Denham and AM was the highest of all quotes by 1.5k. Either way, call around for the best price and talk to the salesman to get an idea of a dealer you feel comfortable with.

If I go with a Nautic Star I'll probably buy from Redmonds in Lafayette. If I go Frontier then who knows.
