The pan will be where the PVC line goes into the unit. As far as the Clorox goes..... Alot of people use it but I recommend my customers to use a cup of conventional drain cleaner once a month. Also I recommend you have a emergency drain float switch installed. If the drain backs up it will shut the unit down, and prevent water damage to your ceiling.
