Default Power pole question

Just got a 10ft blade power pole couple weeks ago and I have a question to others who have the same. I can adjust the speed it goes up and down from the dash mounted switch. But if I use the remote it only goes full speed. I called power pole and they tell me I need to download the latest software from an Android only phone and download it into the system. That will allow me to adjust the speed from the remote around my neck. Cannot be done from any Apple device (iphone or Mac). According to them, it should accept Apple products and downloads by next year. Does this sound right? If you have the same blade setup, Can you adjust the speed of your power pole from the remote?

I can't adjust the speed from my remote, AND I am having problems with my pole studdering on the down and up when using my remote forward of my console. I can't even use the remote when standing on the forward deck. PP tech told me to download the utility update on my PC and then plug it into the unit so I could update the software. I did so, and the unit would not accept the download. Seems that they may be having a few bugs in their remote switches. Sorry, got off topic for a minute. I know that they came out with a new remote that controls speed by pointing the remote down or up further and that controls the speed at which the unit will deploy. Not sure if it is on the market yet, but the technology is out there.

I have the 8' foot model and mine is the same way. I can set it on either of the speeds from the dash remote, but not from the other remote. Its only full speed.

Rusty just put it half way down and roll like that! What's wrong with it being fast? You don't lose your spot on the reef. Mine use to studder I disconnected it from the battery and put it back on and it was good. Maybe a quincedence. Idk

Ok thanks. Its just an upgrade to get it to slow down. But I need to find some one with an android. Its just a little noisy going fast. It works fine, I just like the slower speeds they are silent.

I have an 8 and occasionally I have the studder from the front deck, usually when I don't have the lil antennae extended on my remote,or if the battery in the remote is getting weak. Don't know nothing about any speed adjustments though.

U can adjust speed but only from console. Not from remotes so I'm told. When my battery got weak it would studder I guess.
