Default 7/23 Des Allemands a bit slow

Maybe it was the full moon, but catfish were a bit slow today at Des Allemands. Both the bridges were slow, and the cypress knees around the lake were slow.

I'm sure we could figure it out with some more effort, but we broke off more leaders on snags than we put fish in the box, and this was pretty frustrating for my son.

Catfish were on the smaller side too. I'm much rather a dozen big gafftops to a dozen of these puny channel catfish.

I expect we'll aim for the Rigolets in our next day trip out of BR.
