Pan Fried Redfish In A Salad?

We've been pan frying some redfish fillets for different things and thought they would be great on a salad. Anyone done this and can say if its good. I don't see how a salad topped with this and some home grown tomatoes could be a bad thing. Especially with enough dressing to let the red swim again.LOL

Never done it cooked in a pan on a salad. What I do is boil the fillets in crab boil and a little lemon. Put the fillets in a cheese cloth and boil for 5 mins or till cooked. I like it with light coating of garlic italian dressing so you taste the fish. Taste great with boiled eggs and mayo like you would make for tuna fish.

I've done catfish pan fried on a salad and its good.. Reds can't be that much different!!

M, I see that you changed your avatar. Cant go wrong with B.M. and Ghostbusters.lol. Been panfrying mine in a good drizzle of olive oil, a half stick of butter, and a spoon of bacon fat. Thin fillets brown up nicely in a cast iron skillet like this. Speaking of crab boil my wife was collecting seeds and leaves from our herbs this weekend. Lots of basil leaves and the whole house smelled of boling crabs the whole weekend. I was not complaining at all. The herbs smelled wonderful.

Anything cooked in bacon fat taste good. Some people think my old avatar means I'm a pot head. Not that I really care but that is far from the truth..lol

I make fish tacos w/ pan fried filets .Can't be much different than salad.

But yes, I would definitely try redfish in a salad. Sounds good to me.

It was pretty dang good. Had that for supper last night. Pan fried some thin fillets in olive oil, butter and bacon fat. Broke it into small pieces and topped the salad with it. Very nice meal for a summer evening. Well it was salad and cold beer. Maybe the cold beer helped some? Lol
