they have been working hard to get the tackle that everyone wants and uses and not just stock the shelves with crap. Have met with them several times and think they have a good philosophy and direction.

Its hard for guys to compete with big boys.
I like going to small shop because it is different and get better service.
I live in baton rouge and would stop through going houston.
I use like lct due small store and had different things back early 2000's
Then last year it became bland almost like acadmey just nothing making it different.

Still got love toledo tackle in many.
Joke got to pay $10 entry fee to look but got different stuff.
Its different.

I would like to support the local businesses like LCT but their hours suck. I work 8-5 M-F. and I went to LCT around 11 A.M on a Saturday and they were closed. I'm not taking off work early to pay 20% more.

Complaining about those who complain too much is more aggravating than the ones who were complaining too much originally

Awesome logic. Open super early so that the two people who forgot something the day before can pick it up and the owners make a tidy $3.45 in margin.

How in the hell does LCT run out of glow/chart tail sandeels in the middle of summer? I tried for a month to pick up some wedgetails and one week it was " we will have a new shipment next week" the next week it was "oh just a few more days", the week after its "not sure" and the next week its "well they are doing so well with the vudu shrimp maybe you should try those". I shop local when possible to support local but when I'm paying 20% more for a product I do expect to be treated with better service and also be spoken to straightforward. Tell me you didn't order any so I can go online and have them shipped to my house by the end of the week. I'll still go in to buy YMB jigheads and other tackle that I may not be able to pick up at the chain stores, but for the other stuff I have no problem stocking up elsewhere. You would think that a business that has been around with loyal customers would keep plenty of product in stock.
ENDRANT.
(been shopping at LCT for 10-15yrs, old location is 2 minute walk from my house)
my back yard is right next toi the old shop. I live on sarver st. where are you

I know, I wouldn't expect that. But 7:00am isn't to early to ask that a tackle shop open... I'm normally up running and gunning on my days off by 7:30.
