Breton Sound Marina is a good launch. Also, Campo's is some really fine folks. Although they are technically in Shell Beach. Very close neighbors and both carry live bait.

I fish mostly with live bait but, I would think that whatever plastics are productive elsewhere would work in this area. My son does well with Gulp Shrimp in pearl white and new penny.

The marsh along Bayou St. Malo between Bayou Loutre and Lake Borgne is close. Fishing the "sound" side of the MRGO dam is good. And, the rocks where the MRGO empties into Breton Sound is a popular spot.

Hope this helped. Good luck.
