![]() Brand? I looked at Swarovski ...awesome but 2900.00 Also looked at Leopould ( I think) for 6-800.00 and it looked like I was looking thru beer googles compared to the Swarovski My thought is spend 1000 on vortex HD binos then buy a separate rangefinder for 2-300.00 but my A few buddies that have made Africa hunts say get the built in ..... Thoughts?? |

Let me call a couple of my vendors tomorrow and, get their opinion. I can likely get a couple of sets sent to me to try out.

I have the Bushnell Fusion. Not the greatest, but much better optics than the standalone rangefinders I've looked through. Decent. Glassing with one thing and ranging with another is a big PITA. Fusion was ok. Good enough for elk in CO. Certainly good enough for LA.

I have the Bushnell Fusions. They work well for me. The glass is pretty good, and it is a lot easier to range stuff with binoculars than a with regular rangefinder at distance.

Of course anything you look through is gonna look like crap after looking through Swarovski!! Best bet is to buy a good pair of binos and spend 200-400 on some range finders.
