Inmates are still getting paid, meanwhile correction officers checks are being held.

If they hold a position in the prison workforce, they get paid. May only be $1/hour, but they get paid. Cooks, maintanence, special details, furniture makers, whatever........they get paid as a way for the liberals to insure they are getting rehabillitated!!! Sorry, I can't make this stuff up!

Do they pay taxes on those wages? Do they get a weekly check or does the money go into an account or to their family? What do they need money for in the prison besides cigarettes? I think ALL prisons should be tobacco free... this is supposed to be a PUNISHMENT!!

Jeez... I'm getting all irritated... GOOS FRAH BAH!!

Inmates have free health care and dental as needed

Our sheriff told us once they had a guy who would get arrested every time he had a tooth ache so he could get free care

They have commissary Accounts where they can by snacks and stuff on. Most prisons are already smoke free.

When I worked for Caro we delivered to some prisons. We had to stop at a gate. A gaurd would check us for weapons and what not with a metal detector. Told us if they see us giving anything to the prisoners we would be arrested for introducing contraband into the prison.
