Place to teach a beginner in the BR area?

Take the interstate to Gonzales, get off on hwy 44 go south take a right go to river road. Follow the levee South peeking over the top every chance ya get. There are some great bar pits there easy bank fishing for perch or tight lining cat fish. Good place for a pic nic. The river is so low its kinda hard to get to the water now but the pits hold water close to the levee and offer lots easer access. just walk careful cause some banks can be soft.
