Default Merc Monitor

Who has one and how do you like it?

I'm about to order a level 2 but just curious how others here like it. Some swear by it.

I had a level 1 on my last 2 boats. I installed both myself. Scale of 1-10, no doubt a 10. Most importantly, it gives you the engine temp. But it can do a lot of stuff and you get pick what info you want to look at. You can also easily connect it to a HDS unit and show your choice of data on your unit so in all you can see 7-8 different engine data. I would use my HDS unit to show engine temp, water pressure, rpms, and speed, then use the monitor to show instant fuel burn rate and gallons of gas used on that trip. I honestly have no idea why every boat with an optimax doesn't come with one. You will never look at the other gauges again. You will love it.

Got it installed and all Ihave to do is clean up some wiring. So far this beotch is badass. I've got it hooked up to my Lowrances so I have no problem reading anything. I can't wait to see what my GPH are with these props I'm testing.

We will be hitting the water Sunday!
