Sounds like we're real close in boats. I run a 17' alumacraft cc. Low maintenance, low fuel tows great. Just have to pick your days and places. My other is a Parker BigBay 2300T. Super boat do all boat. Drafts 10 - 12 inches. Will run in 6', just don't stop. Takes rough water well. More maintenance and fuel. I used to take a lot of people fishing and was very serious about. I'm 60 now. Fish mostly with a buddy or by myself. Not near as serious. I'm going to 1 boat that I'll be comfortable in when I'm 80. A want less maintenance, easier towing, lockable dry storage, less gas. I want to be able to fish the close rigs on good days or Saline/Larto with out worrying about cracking my hull on a stump. I'm looking at a 2084 with plenty of storage, I-Pilot, trim tabs, jack plate, power pole, steps to front & rear deck. Has anyone used Lake Area Marine to rig a boat? Hanko & Scully will completly rig it like I want. Sportsman prefers to do all the aluminum work and someone else rig and paint.
