The real question seems to be:
Do you have to be a good hunter to kill a limit of ducks?
Or could any office hunter kill a limit in a good blind?

I would say an officer hunter could easily kill a limit in a good blind if he can half way shoot. I started hunting very late in life and I do not have the skills of most of you on here. I'm learning and I put 100 percent of my time into getting better but I can't beat years of experience that you all have.

Your doing it the right way! teaching your kids the right way and at the same letting them experience success. Letting them get that experience of success goes a long way. I believe they will now love it for life and your creating a love for them that a lot of kids may never see. Wish you woulda got into it along time ago bc I think you would love it that much more. Seeing those smiles in your posts are priceless!!! Good job dad!!

The number one factor in killing ducks is being where they want to be(good blind not $1500 blind) without that you have nothing no matter what kind of hunter or caller you are. Once you are there you absolutly have to be hid with a good spread. Then just shoot them and look like a hero. Calling helps but its somewhere like #8 on the list.

It's been said that there are 2 places you can kill ducks, where they WANT to go and where they DON'T MIND going. I think that's pretty accurate. If you are where they DON'T WANT to go you will get very frustrated watching or hearing the other blinds. Learn all you can about a area before you put time, effort and money into a blind.
