That was my first " do it your self" Canada Hunt. Usually go to a friends place in Nebraska, but they have been slow the last couple of weeks.
We Bow Hunt our place in Sept and Nov. and most of our group do not Waterfowl Hunt. After seeing all the Birds there in Nov., I had to go back and give it a try. There were 1000's of Mallards in my Corn 3 weeks ago, but very few last week. Most all of the water around was froze up as you say, except for one hole that was about 1/2 mile from my fields. The Geese stacked up in there every day, and went out to feed strong on Sunday when it got so cold.
