Only aluminum boat to buy is an Alweld. If you go to that size of a boat might as well get a fiberglass.

Get with ASR on here. He has a X22 Xpress I believe. Same hull.
I have a H20CC and like it a lot,but will go at least 22ft fiberglass next time |

Had a X22 Xpress, good boat but I would go with a glass bay boat as stated.

My brother has a 2011 H22cc with a 200hp Yamaha SHO and hasn't had any problems with the welds. He did say that there is no real dry storage. He had to install some large gasket material to fix the dry storage. Also said there is not much to work inside the console. He is a big dude so that could of been part of the problem. The boat rides well and handles chop better than I would of thought. The floor drains in the rear don't seem to drain fast enough. We got stuck in a strom and had about six inches of water in the floor and nothing coming out the bilge. The bilge can pump the water out faster from the haul than the deck will let the water drain. Other than that he loves his boat. I still like my glass in the real rough stuff. To each there own and I hope this helps you. If you any other question about the boat let me know and I will ask him.

Thanks for the reply. I mainly fish fresh water, but want a bay boat for the times I want to run out the big lake.

I bought one last year and the hull design has changed some from past hyper lift hulls. I have put it in some pretty ruff stuff and the boat handled well. The dry storage is not that dry. you need to take care when washing it not to get to serious on the top of the decks when washing it. Over all I have been pleased with the performance . With the 200 SHO it does scatt. you can run comfortably at 40 mph and it doesn't kill you on gas milage.
