Default Navarro beach surf fishing

I will be at Navarro beach at the end of July. I love to surf fish. Anyone have any tips on bait, rod set up, fishing technics? Anything that will help me and my boys catch some fish!

Dead shrimp will catch just about anything that swims along the beach.

I like to use a simple spin cast with the light line......you can catch all sorts of species......and it the trout and whitings are there you can pound out a fine grilling
dead shrimp for sure, but if you can find em live......it's a plus

Do you mean Navarre Beach, that's in FL right?

Try using some sand fleas, that's what is hot over there. Pensacola Fishing Forum has a ton of info, try them out. You may even get hooked up with someone willing to take you out on a boat for a day.

Sand Fleas are the trick, when I was stationed in Pensacola, went the beach all the time and caught Pompano, Rays, Reds, Sharks. Shrimp works well however the catfish are thick.

I have a sand flea trap, will try to get a pic and post it.

If you can get your bait out bast the bars theres plenty of large sharks. Took a yak out in that area and got drug around for an hour by a big one.
