That was pretty cool Cappy. The Vodka idea was smart!

Great video.
For that size batch of "ICE" I would probably add a few more ounces of Vodka. In the video.....I heard you say "hand squeezed" lemons. I used to hand squeeze my fruit and that took along time. I have had a Citri+star electric juicer for 2 years and love it. It cut way down the time it takes to do a few hundred pieces of fruit. I have juiced over 2000 lemons, grapefruits, and several other things in last 2 years and it has worked very well. Great $ 75 investment to make the job much easier. Another thing to do with lemons........after you "juice" them, cut the rind into pieces and throw them into a food processer to grind them up. Put the ground lemon rinds into baggies and freeze. When you boil any seafood, put in 1 or 2 bags of this to add extra flavor. Last edited by Gerald; 02-28-2014 at 02:07 AM. |

Great sugestion on the rinds and we will definately add this to our list of things to do. In the past the vast majority of our lemon rinds went to the compost pile. I said hand squeezed cause our juicer aint electric ya gotta hand crank it. We don't add the vodka for ..... well ..er to drink a drink. In this case its for its antifreeze properties. We were afraid that much more and it would not set up enough. Rest assured we do use our lemon products to drink.
