Look at the second pic, very bottom shot. See the numbers at the bottom? Go to the right of 0 out to 20' and you'll see the bulkhead. I've picked up gators laying on bottom in shallow water, lay downs in canals, outcrops of cover off of platforms that I never even knew were there.

It paints the bottom, and you can't say that's not useful when fishing. I guess dragging your anchor would be the old school way, but side scan is way quicker and more bad a$$
