I apologize if I offended you - but was talking smack about you smoking. No harm meant.
Like stated earlier, I could care less what a person does to himself. After a death notifications of many, I have no need for the stuff. |

All good. Not really offended. It's silly. If you are for gay rights you must be queer. If you are informed and speak up about weed you are a pothead. It's quite the opposite. Pot heads for the most part don't say anything cuz they don't want to be outed. I took 2 drug test last week. ( both random one DOT one non DOT) I just don't care what people think of me what's true is true. That's the one thing I don't mind about not smoking weed is the fact that I can be as loud and boisterous as I want to be on the subject without the fear of the drug test. Spiral Out |

However, that is bc if someone is going to take the time to set up a hydroponics system they are going to get a good strain of seeds and take care of the plants. Simply growing crappy "bag" seeds in a hydroponics set up is not going to make it more potent. That has everything to do with the strain. |

What positive can come out of legalizing weed?

1)- Less court cases to get more serious felonies handled!!!
2)- More time for narcotics officers to fight illegal pill sales - (The real problem, imho) 3)- Hopefully obtain a scientific way to insure a standard THC level in product (can be done by certifying crops, with THC level match by weight) 4)- Establish a quanatative limit for impaiment (like a BA % in alcohol) Down side - more impact to innocent lives from stoned/high users. Look at Colorado who is trying to respond to the 190% increase in related accidents with injuries on the slopes. (caused by stoned people on the slopes and not good for the ski industry). I could go on and on - but so be it! |

If we legalize weed here in La I can see a lot more hunting and fishing accidents
And nothing worse than people high on the water with other lives involved ( alcohol also) Weed and Beer hunting and fishing = danger

Yet beer has been legal again since 1933. I'm not a pot head. Somked once in high school, didn't like it, and will never try it again. Whether it's legalized or not. Just pointing out the flaw in your argument. |

One can hope that effecive, portable, and quick THC detection and quantification methods become readily available, but the science behind making weed based DWI charges stick has been slow in development. Colorado and Washington are on the bleeding edge of having to improve enforcement to keep their roads safe, and their results so far do not show great promise for other states considering joining them in the pot legalization experiment. Yes drinking and boating (or driving) is dangerous too, but effective enforcement measures are in place due to easy and portable tests that are well accepted by the courts. |

WHO IS THE MAN THAT MAKES THE LAWS THAT SEND YOU TO JAIL???? THE SAME MAN THAT USED TO SAY HAVING A BOTTLE OF WHISKEY WOULD LAND YOU IN JAIL. And now look, there are people drinking whiskey everyday in public. How did that happen? |

I've been around A LOT of moon cabbage in my day and A LOT of Jack Daniel's. I would rather ride in the boat of a stoner captain anyday over riding with a whiskey bent captain. Same goes for riding in a car. |

Maybe or maybe not. People do it now everyday. Impairment of any kind behind any wheel or gun is bad idea. Put a DUI checkpoint at any launch in the state on a sat afternoon in the summer. Spiral Out |

Safe boating is challenging given winds, tides, thunderstorms, boating traffic, unexpected obstructions and lots of other potential hazards. I would not dream of boating with any kind of chemical impairment including booze, weed, prescription meds, and even many OTC antihistamines.
Saying X is worse than Y is just silly in this context. They both can get you and your passengers killed quickly on the water. |
