Mud hole
Any of you guys do that and use orders from mud hole for parts. What y'all use and what y'all made. And how well it works for you. I think it might be the creepiest way to get what I want on a pole . Name etc. And the action with guides . |

No a pole for deepsea fish. Mud hole ....rod building and tackle crafting.
They got stuff in there for soft baits too but I'm looking at polls right now. They got turning machines and string and guides etc. |

I use Mudhole only if Swampland doesn't have it. Lance is a great guy and will work with you. Just an FYI, jumping into rod building is not "cheap". It takes other tools to get going than just the parts. Oh, and Mudhole will KILL you on shipping. |

Swampland will get you the supplies you need with no room for error. Tell him what you want to do and all your parts will fit with no guess work. |

They all kill you on shipping. I love swampland but I ordered 8oz of epoxy and 5 Eva butt caps $14.95 shipping.

MudHole will kill you with the shipping, as already said. But they have everything.
You can get your drier motor and rod chuck off ebay for cheap. You can make your own rod wrapper out of scrap wood or even a card board box. You can also use mouse traps for your thread tensioners. Advice: 1) Do not buy a "kit". Buy the individual components separately. 2) Get a drier motor that turns about 5 - 6 RPMs/minute. And turns both clockwise and counterclockwise. 3) Work in a clean, dust free environment 4) Be patient, and take your time. 5) Do your homework, and read http://www.rodbuildingforum.com/ 6) Get a quality blank and components. I really like the MHX blanks. Its a good feeling to catch fish on a rod that you made!! Good Luck |
