Default Not So Typical Monday Night Meal

As the title says "Not So Typical Monday Night Meal" at least in New orleans that is. About a montha ago I bought a 9.? lb PRIME N.Y Strip Loin and have been procrastinating cutting it up into steaks. I guess you can say I wa sWet Aging it.

I finally got around to cutting it up Saturday afternoon.
Got a bunch of beautiful steaks from it.

Tonight seemed like a perfect evening for grilled steaks! I started earlier with cutting a couple of holes(apple corer)in potatoes and filling 'em with unsalted butter.

Of course they were rubbed down with bacon drippings and seasoned with Kosher salt and placed on the grill of the Keg with a fresh load of Stubbs lump charcoal.

The staeks got the same treatment. A good rub down with bacon drippings and seasoned with fresh cracked mixed peppercorns and flaky Kosher salt.

I pulled some peppers from the garden, cut and filled them with Frank's Sweet Chili Sauce and put those to grill on the side.

Steaks done!

I shut down the grill and place a layer of heavy duty foil to frill some cheesy bread.

Cheddar, Parmesan and Mozzarella made for a fantastic side of cheesy bread.

Time to eat!

Go ahead, get alil closer.

Really, it's alright get closer!

Doesn't it smell delicious?
Mmmmmmmmm................................

Man, that's awesome! Two questions: How do you already have peppers that size in the garden?!
And what kind of bread do you use for the cheesy bread?

Plants that were well along the way when I bought them. The jalapenos aren't doing well though. I need to get a couple other plants.
The bread was just a store bakery loaf that I goosed up with butter and cheeses.
