Well we think we finally got the motor setup pretty close. We ended up with a jack plate from Southside w/ a 6" set back. The other jack plate we tried had a 9 1/2" set back. Now things seem to be running a lot better.

I was able to hit 38mph w/ myself, 20qt. K2, tackle bag, & 3 rods.

We ended up having to move a battery up front and mover the other battery to the left side.

Like we have proven several hundred times, a 16' boat will run 4-5 mph slower than the exact same boat in a 15' length. So you have about all you'll get out of it and that is running very nice at that speed.
