Great. What has changed to allow for the opening? Did they change the salinity in the marsh? Just to let you know it's bs.

The recording states the weir is being opened to allow baitfish and shrimp to enter the lake, but the salinity is still too high, and it will be closed on Sunday. I'm not sure if it's legit or not, but I would think it has to be good for the lake.

If I had to guess it's the onslaught of emails and calls that have been made the last week, whoever is the pilot of that boat gate is trying to settle things down, we will see how the next few weeks pan out before judging

I see and here people talking about the weirs and breaking the law and tickets being written, etc. what's the deal with that? Not sure exactly what people are doing that's illegal. Don't really know much about big lake so I was just trying to figure out some info.

So no fishing crabbing etc 250 on lake side and 250 inside marsh? So you pretty much have to go through it or can you not go within 250 of the weir at all.

You can go through it, just can't fish within 250 feet of it on either side.
