Default Where to crab at rockefeller refuge

Ok guys I always crab in Marsh Island but we are hosting some friends from the good ole state of George this weekend and would like to show them a nice time crabbing. One of the guest is pregnant so we will be heading to Rockefeller by truck and crabbing from the bank. I have never been there so any pointers on where to go would be appreciated. Thanks in advance on any info.

if you find moving water at any of the accessible weirs, try there first!

BTW - is the state of George anywhere near the state of Georgia? ha ha

My dad and a good friend of mine went Saturday out of rollover landing, caught 7 dozen nice crabs.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will do my best to put them on crabs. If we didn't have a pregnant one I can definitely put them on the crabs in Marsh Island. Sorry for the miss spell I was in a hurry.

If your group can fit in your boat, I would take it so you can get away from most of the people.

The canals are mostly protected from the winds, so the boat ride should be smooth.

There were some pictures posted of the new wharf on Price Lake rd. [east side of the Refuge], and it looked very nice there.

A few of my family members went to price lake road over the weekend and dint do too good at all. All they caught were little crabs and not many of them. If at all possible id try to take a boat, people are catching very good at most of the weirs lately.
