Cat fishing at Lake Fausse Point

My brother and I fished Lake Fausse Point this morning and were able to catch 55 catfish and 8 bream in about 3 hours. So ready for a fish fry!

i've been catfishing in the lake since i was a kid. tha't been close to 40 years now. i have never had as many problems with people stealing fish and destroying my equipment as i have had this year.
instead of it being fun, it now brings dread in my heart thinking that theves are looting my fish instead of happy thoughts of bouncing juglines full of fish. hell, they sometimes rebait them with differant bait, mostly they just cut the hook off. it is probably just a big joke to them.

if they would imagine HALF of the slow death i have planned for the next person/group i catch stealing from me, they would never get in a boat again.

Good LORD! I'm fishing in the wrong area! lol I typically hit up Lake Catahoula, only because it's not that much of a haul for me from Lafayette. I'd like to fish Fausse, just not sure where to go......Caught 3 measly catfish last weekend and hope to do better tomorrow. Just unsure about the rain and water levels with all of the downpour we got.
