Its hard to beat a meal cooked over an open fire. When the weather is cool enough that the fire feels good its a great way to spend the day. Cold beer, warm fire, and a big iron pot bubbling with good stuff.

Cabbage rolls Boiled Supper, salt cured pork w/ cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onions, and bell peppers all boiled together. Anything cooked on the open fire grill at the camp in Tensas.. Hot: Boiled crabs Fried fresh bream(whole) Grilled snapper, ling, or grouper.. Anytime: Anything cooked by my mom.. Especially pot roasted ducks w/ green bean casserole and candied yams!! Can't beat moms cooking!! |
