Charles & Nicholas Padgett, James Domingue, and Jean-Paul Schoeffler joined me today on the Bluewave. Reds again today were our focus knowing the trout bite has been off. First cast in the honey hole had a red chasing the Tiger Matrix but then turned his head. The tide was slack again this morning upon arrival. The first three reds turned but the 4th and 5th hit!!! It was fish on after that for a while then slowed down. We drifted into the ditch they were stacked in yesterday but we found zero tide, bait or fish. Capt Travis called and said they were on a good run where I had left from, so I returned. We got right back on them adding another 7 reds and a bass and missing more than we caught. The fish have been somewhat finicky and hesitant to eat the baits. I tried throwing some swim baits but they completely refused them. Tiger and Green Hornet Matrix on a gold spinner was the bait of choice. Slow retrieve worked best and you had to let them swim away with it before you could set the hook. Good times and a good mess of fish. Thanks guys for another great day. We are hoping to be back on the trout real soon!!
Thanks Capt T Miller for taking care of Joey Amorello and Crew. They had a great time.
