I had a 1995 Johnson 100hp sea horse as my first motor. It was used. I bought it in 06. Month later engine blew. Had it rebuilt. Buy a local mechanic. Seven yrs later still running like a champ. And pushing a heavier boat. If you have the right person. A rebuild works pretty good in my opinion.
