Forgive my ignorance but what is it used for? I have caught an unhooked hundreds of catfish but never used anything like that. Really serious about its use.

To "flip" the catfish with this tool, you hold the string in one hand about 6" from the fish. Then you hook the end of the tool down as low on the hook as you can. The tool needs to be down on the "bend" part of the hook. If the hook is too deep in the fishes mouth, this will not work.

With the tool down around the hook, spread your hands some so that both hands are to the side of the fish. Hold the fish over the side of the boat. Now "flip" the fish in a circular motion [see video that was posted in earlier post].

If you have the tool down around the circular part of the hook, this will rip the hook out and the fish will flip down into the water.
