Most of the local monitoring services have the same equipment that vivint has now without all the horror stories. One of their salesmen knocked on my door one day and had no brochures or information except the card that he used to discuss it with people. He also had no card or anyway for me to contact them for information. I told him that I would research it and to come back another day. He never came.

Why? He isn't breaking any law. And you're tying up an officer from doing a real call.

Couldn't you just close the door?
