Wow you gunna burn her up. I would not run that motor over 5,800. Unless your tach is on the wrong setting you have nowhere near the right pitch prop.

I think the tach is off actually it didn't sound like it was reving that fast

Don't take a chance. You really need to know what the rpm's really are. Don't run wide open until you know for sure.

From your description, the tack is reading double. I don't know what outboard you have, but turning 4000 rpm at WOT is not healthy for 2 strokes with linkage controlled ignition timing. You can have top end or you can have hole shot, NOT BOTH. At best, you can have an acceptable compromise.

Listen to Cajun Christian, he knows what he is talking about. You need to check your tach but I would bet you have too much prop. Fix prop problem then talk to Cade at Acadiana prop.

thank you so much I will have this checked out great advice that's why this site is so much better then la sportsman guys here help each other


and btw Cajun Christian it's a 115 Johnson on a 17 foot stratos haul
