Yes, that is what I saw on Wednesday, but 2-4 per cast is about twice what I observed. When I went to Rollover on Thursday, I watched the water movement and it seemed to track very closely with what was predicted for the Mermentau. After these two days of almost no tidal movement during the day, I am convinced that doing the research of watching the tides might make a huge difference in giving oneself the best chance of scoring on the shrimp. For instance, as I was going in around 11ish on Thursday, I passed several boats just coming out and according to the tide charts for the Mermentau, high tide was supposed to be at about 11 a.m. and then it was supposed to drop all the rest of the day. I'd love to know how those late arrivals did at the Rollover weir on thurs. afternoon.
