You are right about that. I like to keep the front of the boat pointed into the current if I am anchored to minimize the slap. As soon as my anchor lock has corrected itself a few times I put the pole down. The iPilot doesn't kick on at 10 to correct itself because it's never that far out of position. Makes it a lot easier to work your bait with the current.
