![]() ![]() The first fish was at 8:45. We were targeting bull reds and we started with a double. In 45 minutes we had 4 fish in the boat and lost 2 others. ![]() As you can see in the pictures the guy in the background is fighting another fish. That flurry of action spoiled us. The rest of the day was a lot of casting with just enough action for us to remain in the area. ![]() Our catch to release average was bouncing around 50% most of the day. We would have remained there but the winds picked up. When things got a bit rough I had to call the trip. ![]() At the end fishing got a bit better but so did the wind and waves. We ended our day with a double. Our total for the day was 10 of 16. ![]() The second day the boats were to be switched up but the same guys requested to run with me again. ![]() The fish were waiting for us to play with us again today. Our catch to loss ratio was a lot different today. ![]() On this day I even got into the action. As you can see others were a bit busy. ![]() We spent the day drifting around picking at them. ![]() This day went very different. We never lost a fish and went 17 of 17 for the day. ![]() Hindsight they should have gone with the other guy. He ended up with more fish than I did that day. Oh well that's fishing in Venice. No matter how good of a day you have someone is going to do better. Life is Good! Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that. CAPT HOOP -- OUR FREEDOM |
