Interesting, hadn't thought of that. Because the gunnel's curve up on the sides which makes it difficult to use that area as floor area since it is not even, that might make it better. If you can envision it, there would be two steps, one on each side but since they would just cover the curved area, it wouldn't take up any floor area. Have to think about that.
