Pruning citrus trees?

I trim mine back in the winter after harvest. Seems to work with mine. I'm no expert though.

I cut mine back selectively every year. Cut to the trunk either top or lower outside . Top one year , outside next cause it will take a years growth to produce again. Thats the way mine is anyway , don't know if its rite but works for me. You let them get too high and you'll need a ladder.As ragin say after harvest and last chance of freeze.

its about that time if you have the desire to trim, just don't go too far and just snip off the tips to stop outward growth so it spreads out more. also trim off lower branches and sprouts as I find they hang too low and I think the tree is healthier with less clutter around the main trunk

Had a grower tell me to coat any pruning spots w/ elmers glue . Been doing it for years. so far no rot or insect damage when pruning
