I've been busy on the Bluewave this past week. Had a group from Wisconsin on Wednesday, a local crew on Friday, and a big group with Cajun Industries Saturday and Sunday. The trout bite is getting good and should continue to as long as the weather cooperates. The trout seem to be on time this year. The bigger trout are working south and the smaller trout are all ready there. Every spot we have been fishing seems to be either solid 14-21 inch trout or a bunch of 10-13 inch trout. The bigger trout have favored the Green Hornet Matrix on a 1/4oz Golden Eye jighead slow rolled on the bottom while the smaller trout have been tearing up the Shrimp Creole under a cork. I'd recommend throwing both when you pull up to a stop and find out what you are dealing with. If you just fish one you may be passing up fish. The reds have been all over with a lot of undersized mixed in. If you are looking for a destination with lodging and a charter guide give me a call. If you have a large group and need multiple boats and need a chef to cook for your large group so you don't have to stress over feeding everyone we can take care of that too. Here are a few pics from recent trips.
