Default Dularge Report Monday/Tuesday

The last 2 days I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr Sam Farr, his son in law Dan, and his grandchildren Jacob and Zachary. The boys came down to fish while the girls stayed in New Orleans. They are all from Georgia and came to Louisiana to experience the fishing, outdoors, and Cajun cuisine. Day 1 was picture perfect and when we hit the water it felt like the day was made already. As the sun was coming up both Jacob and Zachary immediately Hooked up to 2 keeper reds. The situation presented to us that morning let me to believe the trout would open up and bite a bare hook. Beautiful water, good tide movement, and bountiful bait indicated everything you can ask for as a fisherman. Unfortunately the trout had other plans that day and we had our work cut out for us. Each spot we went too was identical to the aforementioned painted picture. Those fish had their minds in the gutter and wanted nothing to do with eating. The guys really enjoyed being out there on such a perfect day. Day 2 the plan was to get on some bull reds and drum and give the boys a workout. All that we found willing to eat were gafftops. Hmmm. Switch to plan B on get on the hunt for trout. With the wind picking up once again those fish were making it hard on us. We worked hard and put together a nice mess of trout and when the day was done again everyone had a great time outdoors. The guys are already talking about coming back to Louisiana and bringing more family with them. Thanks for a great two days fellas!
